| about the show | Every Sunday night at 10pm Charlie Hussey’s Blues Train arrives at Studio 1 for 2 hours with standing room only. Each carriage is full to capacity with all styles of blues music from the early acoustic blues of the 1920’s to the modern contemporary sounds of the 21st century. At least one new album is featured every week along with music from the greats such as BB King, T Bone Walker, Robert Cray, Sonny Boy Williamson plus the best of the Irish, European and lesser known artists. Luther Allison, Buddy Guy, Honeyboy Edwards, Johnny Winter, Billy Boy Arnold,John Mayall,Kim Wilson and Hubert Sumlin are just some of the acts that have been interviewed on Charlie’s Blues Train.
