An Taoiseach Enda Kenny plans to reform welfare, in the new Fine Gael manifesto. He will announce the 'working family payment' at tonight's Dublin Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner.  And according to the Irish Times, officials at the Dept of Finance have already been told to draw up a slimmed down version of the Finance Bill, pre-budget. The crux of the new payment is to ensure that families are better off in work, than on welfare.

The Dublin senior hurling champonship resumes tonight wth semi final places up for grabs. All roads lead to Parnell Park as O'Tooles take on Lucan Sarsfield at 6.45pm with the winners playing St.Judes in the semi final on Sunday at 2.30pm.The second quarter final in Parnell Park tonight sees Cuala v Craobh Ciaran at 8.15pm. The winner is this will play Ballyboden St.endas in the semi final at 4pm.
